Sessions and Instructions
Abstracts should be submitted to the KRC Organizing Committee through this website's online submission system by February 4, 2013. Before entering the "Online Abstract Submission System," please read the following instructions carefully.
1) If you are submitting an abstract for the first time, please register your personal information and complete online registration. After the registration is completed, login again and proceed to abstract submission. Fill out carefully all the required fields of the electronic abstract submission form.
2) Select the session you hope to present in. Since the Commission Sessions are central activities of the KRC, the Organizing Committee would like you to first check whether your presentation matches the theme of one of IGU's Commissions by referring to the following list. If you find a match with your topic and would like to present in a Commission Session, please select "Commission Session" and then choose the relevant Commission. Finally, choose one Session Theme that best matches your topic. For current information on titles, chairs and contents (abstracts) of sessions organized by IGU commissions, please see below (click the commission name for details).
3) If your presentation does not fit in any Commission/Task Force theme, please select “General Session” or “Joint Session.” If you select the “General Session,” choose one specific topic among the research interest options after entering the online abstract submission system (for detailed list, please click here). Please do not forget to choose “oral” or “poster” presentation.
4) If you select the “Joint Session,” choose one specific topic among the following options. For detailed information on chairs and abstracts of the joint sessions, please click here.

5) After completing procedures 1)–4), the confirmation page asks you to confirm that all of the information you have entered is correct. If you find mistake(s) or want to modify anything, please return to a previous procedure.
6) After confirming that your information is correct, please click the "Send" button.
7) If you submit two abstracts, each abstract must be submitted separately.
In submitting your abstract, please keep the following points in mind:
- Abstracts should be written in either English or French.
- The text of the abstract should be no more than 250 words and not include any figure, map or statistical table.
-As the first author, you are allowed to submit at maximum two abstracts for oral/poster presentation.
-If your submission is accepted through the abstract review process, please complete registration payment by April 31, 2013. Otherwise, your presentation cannot be included in the program.
In submitting your abstract, please keep the following points in mind:
- Abstracts should be written in either English or French.
- The text of the abstract should be no more than 250 words and not include any figure, map or statistical table.
- As the first author, you are allowed to submit at maximum two abstracts for oral/poster presentation.
- If your submission is accepted through the abstract review process, please complete registration payment by April 31, 2013. Otherwise, your presentation cannot be included in the program.
